Meet the Crew

It started with Buddy.

Buddy was a Boston Terrier who lived for two things — Huntington Beach and making everyone around him smile. He'd hit the sand like he owned it, ears back, paws flying, pure joy. He passed in 2018, but he left something behind — the spark that became SoCal Life by the Beach.

SCLBTB is our love letter to Buddy and every dog owner who knows their pup isn't just a pet. They're a whole personality. A lifestyle. A reason to go to the beach on a Tuesday.

The Crew

Next came GiGi — our real-life Chihuahua and official brand ambassador. From there the illustrated crew grew — Pebbles the Corgi, a Dachshund riding the nose, and coming soon, Mahi — our Dachshund/Chihuahua mix who's currently in training for her longboard debut. Every character is hand-drawn in bold black and white, riding a longboard, living their best SoCal life. More breeds, more mixed breeds, more personalities coming. The beach is big enough for everyone.

Why Black and White?

Every piece of SCLBTB artwork is intentionally black and white — bold, clean, and built to last. No trendy colors, no loud graphics. Just classic line art printed on black, white, and gray. Because the best surf photos were always black and white anyway.
